On-Site Wastewater Site Evaluations

If you are not served by sanitary sewers and you plan to build in Bourbon County, you will need a site evaluation to determine the type of onsite wastewater system that may be approved for your property. The kind of system your house will require depends on the soil on your property. Our current fee structure can be seen below.

Construction Permit $300.00

Repair Permit $200.00

Function Statement (Existing System Inspection) $150.00

Did you know that every food service establishment in Bourbon County has been inspected for safety by one of our Registered Sanitarians?  Did you know that hotels, schools, public swimming pools, tattoo and body piercing parlors, and mobile home parks are also regulated by Health Department staff?  We work hard to make sure that the health of Bourbon County residents and those who stop to enjoy our businesses is protected.  Environmentalists also investigate nuisance complaints from community members.
